An evening by the firelight
The Bardess laughed, a quaint giggle which belied her amusement. In the dark evening’s firelight, her eyes were aglow with merriment. A few kindly placed words seemed to’ve completely brightened her otherwise awful day.
“Shall we tell a tale?” I asked, gazing about at my companions. A bardess, who’s only beauty was marred by the lifespan of humanity. A ranger, a brother. A warrior mage, a man I knew I could trust my life to. A barbarian, a man who would lay his life down for his province, and his love.
“Oh, I think it’s my turn!” she said with a wink and grin, giggling again.
