Vandals at the Wren’s Nest

Two patrons of the Wren’s Nest ran to find me almost at the same time with the same horrified look on their face.

"The Scroll of the Remembered has been ruined!" one of them cried out.

"It’s so, Dreamheart, come quick!" the other agreed.

And so I walked into the corner of the Tavern where I keep this precious document, and found that vandals had filled many lines in it with filthy things.

My heart sank.

I asked around, but nobody had seen anyone writing in it. If you hear someone saying that any particular group or person was responsible — they are making it up. No one was seen doing it.

I carefully gathered the book and took it into my workroom to repair it. I have saved the pages which were afflicted so that I can compare it to any future handwriting.

It has been repaired now, and I have set it back out for people to read. However, I have not put any ink back out for people to write in it. I will weigh the choices before me and then decide what to do.

In the meantime, if you would like to add someone’s name to it, please leave me a message directly, with their name, and any very brief comment you wish to go with it. I will add it myself.

I am sad that the only record of its kind has been defaced this way, and can only hope that no one ever ruins something that the vandals cherish in the name of fun.
