Beetles Spread Plague!

The city of Crossing has recently been populated by a type of beetle which seems cause the victim to break out in sores all over the body. It is life threatening. Only the immediate attention of Empaths has been of help. The disease also spreads by touch, so tending, or any physical contact is out of the question.

The first one was spotted when I was bitten on the ferry to Crossing from Leth Deriel. I broke out and nearly died at the empaths’ guild. This was on the second andu that the dead walked with the living.

Today, four andaen later, it has spread to an epidemic. Andorallen was infected, and Yokuna and myself became reinfected. A group of us, after we had recovered as best we could pursued the beetles throughout the city.

At one point we came across one which I killed without effort. We decided to find another in hopes of studying it, when in the end we were swarmed by many more than we could track. They ran through the streets before finally vanishing again without a trace.

People should keep an eye out for these beetles. They still have the potential to spread infection.
