Scholars Correct Lavival Calendar

(The Three Provinces: 342 Nissa 350)

A conclave of Scholars, Astronomers and Moon Mages studying the heavens noticed that the Calendar based on Lanival’s Victory was off more than 72 days ahead of where they realized where it should of been. Professor van Thorne of the Asemath Academy speculates this is from the chaos during the reign of the Dragon Priests, where most people were concerned with staying alive instead of watching the calendar.

Thus after much debate and a bit later than planned, the 37th day of Akroeg the Ram, of the 352nd year after Lanival’s victory, was turned back to the 365th day of Nissa the Maiden, of the year 351. There was much confusion due to the calendar changes, but it needed to be done, so says Prof van Thorpe. Otherwise the seasons and the stars themselves would be out of sync with the calendar.

There was no comment from the Crossing leader of the guild of Moon Mages, Kssarth, the only reply was a snarl. There there was some rejoicing from people who’s birthdays fall in this time period, being able to celebrate their day of birth twice. Otherwise this change shouldn’t affect the average citizen.
